Perfect combo

I feel so lucky to have the right combination of foods and supplements.  I have been feeling great and loving it.

Not sure what changed... perhaps the new Vitamin D is helping me.   Perhaps I've finally got the right combo of foods- a good mix of healthy and satisfying.  I love my unsweetened chocolate milk and nuts for treats.   I started having some almond butter on brown rice cakes and it's yummy.

I've got lots of energy to work out everyday and my hands and feet work like they are supposed to when I wake up!

It saddens me that some people with RA that are in such terrible pain feel they can't give this nutrition test a try.  What do you have to lose.... you would know if food was the culprit in about 4 days.

  1. Hi Jen. Thank you for your blog. I'm new to this blog thing. I found it and read through the whole history. It is changing my understanding of the food-RA connection. Between reading info. from your and Cam's blogs, I am super determined to start my elimination diet and test next week. I hope it works.

  3. I'm not sure if you meant me...but the foods that I'm worried about are goat cheese (of course! I live on it), potatoes, meat, wheat (bread and pasta), and...I guess eggs. Just started day 1 of the diet! Sweet potatoes and cod today.

  4. Hi Gals!
I'm sorry I've been negligent- so busy :(
My top 5 are : corn, sugar, banana, and I think wheat and dairy.

@ Goatfarmgirl: So glad you are enjoying the blog! Do you have a blog? RA?

  5. Hi Jen, No, I don't have a blog. I can email you my website, though. I'm glad you can eat goat cheese and are feeling well!
I was dx w/RA in Feb. after a year of unexplainable pains. Actually, I had an "idiopathic" (hate that term) case of hives 5 years ago that I thought was bacterial and I am suspicious is related to the RA. I'm 39. I've been taking meds since Feb.

I'm on day 4 now of the diet and I feel worse!

How did you know if your pains were not bc of going off your medications? Also, doesn't the prednisone contain some kind of corn derivative?
